Mills chosen to replace Cuddihy on Women's 4x400m team





Caitriona Cuddihy is to be replaced by Joanna Mills on the Irish Women's 4x400m Olympic team, it was announced today.

Addressing the media at the Woodies DIY National Track & Field Championships today, Athletics Ireland president Ciaran O’Cathain said: "The appeals panel of Athletics Ireland met this morning, in regard to the selection for the Women's4x400m team.

"The appeals panel has decided to revert the selection of Caitriona Cuddihy and replace Caitriona with Ballymena & Antrims' Joanna Mills.

"Caitriona can now appeal the decision to the Olympic Council of Ireland and Athletics Ireland will make no further comment on this decision."
