Karl Robinson's men claimed a stunning 4-0 win over United on Tuesday night and will now face the surprise 2013 finalists who sealed a dramatic 2-1 victory against local rivals Leeds.

Defending champions Manchester City will also fancy their chances of advancing after being handed a home clash against Championship Sheffield Wednesday who beat top-flight Burnley 1-0 on Tuesday.

Matt Smith headed 10-man Leeds in front eight minutes from time at Valley Parade but a stunning equaliser from Billy Knott soon lifted the home crowd, and they were simply delirious when James Hanson prodded over the line with four minutes remaining.

League Two Burton followed up their first-round win over Championship side Wigan by claiming the Premier League scalp of QPR thanks to Adam McGurk's goal and have been rewarded with a home clash against Brighton.

Aston Villa also lost 1-0 to lower-league opposition, Romain Vincelot handing Leyton Orient a 1-0 win at Villa Park, and Russell Slade's men will next take on Sheffield United, who dumped West Ham out on penalties on Tuesday.

In Wednesday night's other games, last-year's beaten-finalists Sunderland beat Birmingham 3-0 and will face Stoke, who were also 3-0 victors over Portsmouth.

Jon Walters scored twice for Stoke with Peter Crouch also netting, while Jordi Gomez, Adam Johnson and Connor Wickham were on target for the Black Cats.

Shrewsbury shocked Leicester with a 1-0 win on Tuesday night and they have been rewarded with a home tie against Norwich while four Premier League teams are guaranteed to exit in round three.

Arsenal face a home tie against Southampton, West Brom will take on Hull, Neil Warnock's Crystal Palace face Newcastle and Swansea travel to Goodison to tackle Everton.

Of the remaining top-flight teams in the draw, Chelsea host Championship Bolton, Liverpool will be visited by Middlesbrough and Tottenham welcome Nottingham Forest to White Hart Lane.

There are two all-Championship ties with Cardiff hosting Bournemouth and Reading heading to Derby while Fulham have a home tie against Doncaster.

The ties will be played on September 23 and 24.
