Katie loves being a role model, just don't ask her to cook Christmas dinner

Katie Taylor says she loves being a role model for kids in Ireland.

The Olympic boxing champion says there are 'so many' bad ones out there that it's great young people look up to her and it's something she takes seriously.

She is preparing to put her feet up for a few days over Christmas before preparations begin in the New Year for her return to the ring.

But while she is top of her game on the world sporting stage, Katie has revealed she won't be winning any medals in the kitchen.

“I have two or three days off where I’ll enjoy my dinner and eat all around me,” she said. “My mam is cooking for everyone, I don’t know how to cook – I’m too busy winning an Olympic title!”
