Incredible stroke of luck keeps the Irish in after ball hits the stumps
Ireland’s Ed Joyce got a fantastic rub of the green this morning while batting in the ongoing match against UAE.
Amjad Javed successfully hit the stumps with his bowl, but although the bails bounced in the air they settled back on the stumps, meaning Joyce stayed in.
As you can see from their reaction, the UAE cricketers can’t believe it either!
Hopefully it’s a sign of things to come. Ireland have left themselves a tall mountain to climb after UAE built up a score of 278/9.
