Prodigious Tyrone footballer Conor McKenna is attracting attention from a number of Aussie Rules franchises following an impressive trial performance in London last week.

The 18-year-old scored four goals in last week’s trial game against a select Aussie Rules side, following a week-long camp organised by AFL scouts.

Up to six clubs are understood to be interested in the Tyrone minor star after his impressive display caught the eye of selectors, the BBC report.

The Eglish clubman led the Tyrone minor side to provincial glory last year and was named man-of-

the-match in both the Ulster final and All-Ireland semi-final. He also found the back of the net in Tyrone’s All-Ireland final defeat to Mayo.

Still eligible for the minors this year, McKenna has maintained his impressive performance levels with his school side St Patrick’s Armagh.

In February, he scored a remarkable 1-7 in the Ulster colleges MacRory Cup; registering points off both his left and right foot and scoring a magnificent goal.
