Green light for Wincanton

This afternoon's meeting at Wincanton goes ahead after the track passed an 8am inspection.

Officials had called an inspection due to the threat of overnight rain, but the track is reported to be fit for action.

Clerk of the course Barry Johnson said: "We're fine to race. It will be heavy ground but most of the standing water has gone and the remainder should be gone before racing.

"We had six millimetres of rain overnight but we've been lucky."
