Cian O’Neill ratified as new Kildare football manager

The Kildare County Board have confirmed the appointment of their new senior football and hurling managers.

Former Kerry and Mayo trainer Cian O'Neill has agreed to take charge of his native county after being appointed to replace Jason Ryan as manager of the footballers.

O’Neill joins the Lilywhites after a spell as coach of the Kerry Senior footballers.

Meanwhile former Limerick goalkeeper Joe Quaid has been ratified as manager of the Kildare hurlers.

Both men have been given three-year terms but have yet to finalise their backroom teams.
