GAA headquarters is playing host to a very different sport today - American football hits town in the shape of the Croke Park Classic.
The match between Penn State and UCF is the opening game of the 2014 American college football season and the players arrived In Ireland earlier this week to prepare.
After Thursday's training session the Penn State players decided to go native and try their hands at Gaelic games.
They weren’t too bad at Gaelic football but managing a sliotar proved a lot trickier.
Defensive back Adrian Amos was interviewed about his impressions of hurling.
“Hurling? It’s like baseball with a goalie.”
“You got a goalie with a putter standing in the goals,” continued Amos, “he was pretty good, you gotta have real good hand eye coordination for that.”
Of course American football is about a lot more than just the game.
Dublin has been experiencing the build-up all week and those attending Croke Park today can look forward to a great afternoon of entertainment.
