O'Sullivan named Manager of the Year
09/12/2004 - 19:29:49Irish rugby coach Eddie O'Sullivan has picked up the prestigious Philips Sports Manager of the Year award.
The Youghal man guided Ireland to a first Triple Crown since 1985, including a 19-13 victory over world champions England at Twickenham.
In the autumn tests he masterminded Ireland’s triumphs over Tri Nations champions South Africa, the USA and Argentina.
O'Sullivan was chosen from a list which included All Ireland winners Jack O'Connor, Donal O'Grady and Shelbourne boss Pat Fenlon.
