No change in Pipe jockey situation

11/05/2006 - 08:49:35
David Pipe has stated he has no plans to employ a retained rider other than principal owner David Johnson’s jockey Timmy Murphy in the foreseeable future.

The son of former 15-times champion National Hunt trainer Martin enjoyed a dream start to his training career on Tuesday when saddling an across-the-card treble with the first runners in his name.

“I have my own ideas on a few little things I would like to change but it will be a long time before things change completely. These things don’t happen overnight. The jockey situation will remain the same.”
