England suffered one of the most humiliating setbacks in their history as a David Healy goal earned Northern Ireland a shock 1-0 win in a World Cup qualifier in Belfast.
The pressure will now grow on coach Sven-Goran Eriksson, who had claimed his side could take on Brazil, after an inept performance lacking in conviction and direction.
Healy struck the all-important goal 16 minutes from time to leave Poland now favourites to top the qualifying group ahead of Eriksson’s shell-shocked side.
