Moyes eyes future with Old Firm
Everton boss David Moyes has expressed his desire to manage Celtic or Rangers in the future.
The Goodison Park chief began his playing career with the Hoops before being allowed to join Cambridge in 1983.
Moyes has now established himself as one of the best young club bosses in England after two top-10 finishes in the Barclays Premiership with the Blues after a successful stint with Preston.
He insists he has no intentions of leaving the Merseyside club in the near future, but concedes the lure of the Old Firm and a return to Scotland would be difficult to refuse in years to come.
Moyes told The Herald: “I’ve always said that Scotland is my home and that I’ll probably end up going back there to work at some stage.
“I’d love to manage one of the Old Firm clubs if or when the time was right, just for the challenge.
“Right now though, it would be completely disrespectful to Everton to talk about it, and I’d never dream of leaving England at the moment. But, in time, yes.”
