Blindside flanker Kevin McLaughlin is Leinster’s biggest injury concern ahead of their must-win Heineken Cup Pool 5 meeting with Clermont Auvergne at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday (3.40pm).
McLaughlin took a heavy knock towards the end of Sunday’s encounter with the French outfit but thankfully walked from the field afterwards.
His availability for selection will be decided later in the week, ahead of Friday’s lunchtime announcement.
The Leinster medical team reported a number other bumps and bruises following the physical encounter at the Stade Marcel Michelin which they will monitor over the week.
The province could be boosted by the return of David Kearney and Eoin O’Malley to the panel this weekend as both continue to work hard on their respective rehabilitations.
Meanwhile, Luke Fitzgerald remains on course for a possible return to action over the Christmas interprovincial games against either Ulster away or Connacht in the RDS.
