Maradona arrested after airport disturbance

Argentine soccer legend Diego Maradona has been arrested following a disturbance at Rio de Janeiro Airport in Brazil.

Local police said the 45-year-old was detained after arriving late for a flight to Buenos Aires this morning and trying to force his way on board.

Maradona had been in Brazil to play a game on Wednesday night organised by ex-Brazilian star Zico.
