Lopez Caro handed permanent role at Real
Real Madrid have confirmed that Juan Ramon Lopez Caro will remain as coach until the end of the season.
The Seville-born 42-year-old was put in charge initially on an interim basis after Wanderley Luxemburgo was sacked on December 4.
But Real have appointed Lopez Caro on a permanent basis to bring some stability to the club and quash rumours linking them with the likes of Fabio Capello, Arsene Wenger and Didier Deschamps.
“Juan Ramon Lopez Caro will continue in charge of the first team until the end of the season,” confirmed a statement on the club’s website, www.realmadrid.com.
“Real Madrid’s sporting commission have accepted the proposal made by club vice president and general sporting director Emilio Butragueno for Juan Ramon Lopez Caro to remain in charge until the end of the season.”
