Longford 1-12 Mayo 0-14, Pearse Park

Longford caused the shock of the 2010 Championship as they sent Mayo packing in tonight's All-Ireland first round qualifier at Pearse Park.

After Alan Freeman had twice levelled for the visitors, Longford closed out a famous win with late points from Shane Mulligan and Sean McCormack.

Alan Dillon helped Mayo take a 0-7 to 0-4 interval lead. But Paddy Dowd set up Longford substitute Paul Kelly for a galvanising goal and the dismissal of Keith Higgins left Mayo under all sorts of pressure.
