The quarter-final draw for the Irish Daily Mail FAI Cup has thrown Cork City against Shamrock Rovers.

The quarter-final draw for the Irish Daily Mail FAI Cup has thrown Cork City against Shamrock Rovers.

The Leesiders sit in third place in the Airtricity League Premier Division, just above Shamrock Rovers who now have a home tie to look forward to in September.

League leaders Dundalk will have to travel to Belfield to face UCD should they overcome Leinster Senior League side Crumlin United in their rearranged Third Round tie on Tuesday.

Elsewhere, second-placed Derry City have an away tie at Wexford Youths in order to progress, while Cobh Ramblers, fourth in the First Division, have a tough task away at Richmond Park against St Pat's.

All the games will take place on the weekend of September 9 to 11.

FAI Cup Quarter-Final draw:

UCD v Crumlin Utd/Dundalk

Shamrock Rovers v Cork City

St Patrick's Athletic v Cobh Ramblers

Wexford Youths v Derry City
