Latvian injury fears eased ahead of Dutch clash

22/06/2004 - 12:28:04
Aleksandrs Starkovs is expected to have all his players available for tomorrow’s clash against Holland in Braga.

Valentins Lobanovs trained on his own with a muscle injury yesterday afternoon but is expected to be included in the starting line-up.

The defensive midfielder, who was influential in his team’s games against the Czech Republic and Germany, was left out of the session as a precaution.

“He only has a slight problem and there are no reasons to be worried,” said Starkovs.

Latvia (probable): Kolinko; Stepanovs, Zemlinskis, Isakovs, Blagonadezdins; Rubins, Lobanovs, Astafjevs, Bledielis; Prohorenkovs, Verpakovskis.
