2006 All-Ireland Finals moved for Ryder Cup
21/04/2005 - 18:22:36The All-Ireland 2006 finals will be moved next year to accommodate the Ryder Cup in Ireland, it was announced today.
The GAA said the 2006 hurling final will be played on September 3 with the football final taking place two weeks later on September 17.
Traditionally the All Ireland finals have taken place on the second and fourth Sunday of September, but the K-Club will be hosting the Ryder Cup from September 22 to September 24.
