Kennelly has nose broken
28/12/2004 - 06:56:17Aussie Rules export Tadhg Kennelly suffered a broken nose on his return to football on Sunday.
The Ireland star was helping his club side Listowel Emmets in the North Kerry Championship final, during which he suffered the injury.
The Sydney Swan contributed a point as Listowel denied neighbours Finuge a double by running out seven-point winners (0-12 to 0-5) in Ballybunion.
Finuge, with Kingdom All-Star Paul Galvin on board, had hoped to add the North Kerry title to the Munster club junior championship title they picked up last week.
The midfielder stayed on the pitch for the remainder of the game and it is not thought the injury will affect Kennelly's AFL career.
