Kelly forced to withdraw from Ireland squad
01/06/2006 - 13:10:55Munster back John Kelly has been forced to withdraw from the Ireland rugby squad for the summer tour to New Zealand and Australia due to a shoulder injury.
Kelly was suffering from a shoulder strain that he picked up while playing for Munster and remained with the Ireland squad to have his injury assessed and treated during the pre-tour training camp in Limerick.
The shoulder has not recovered sufficiently and Kelly's place in the touring party has been taken by his Munster team mate Anthony Horgan.
