Hoops to appeal Brown's red card
28/02/2010 - 17:36:54Celtic will appeal the red card given to Scott Brown during today’s defeat by Rangers at Ibrox, according to the club’s official website.
In the 65th minute referee Dougie McDonald sent off the Hoops captain following a wrestling match with Rangers midfielder Kyle Lafferty, who escaped punishment.
Gers substitute Maurice Edu, on for Lee McCulloch, scored the only goal of the game in the last seconds of added time to take the Light Blues 10 points clear of Celtic at the top of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League with a game in hand.
