Tim Henman failed in impress as he overcame Ruben Ramirez Hidalgo of Spain in four sets.

Henman's 13th ace eventually gave him a 4-6 7-6 6-4 6-2 victory in two minutes over three hours.

Nevertheless it was a woefully unconvincing performance from the British number one.
