Jordan Henderson returned to the starting XI as Liverpool looked to beat Newcastle and give themselves a chance of winning the Barclays Premier League.

The midfielder came in for Lucas Leiva while Daniel Agger started ahead of Mamadou Sakho.

Newcastle made two changes, with Steven Taylor and Massadio Haidara replacing Loic Remy and Paul Dummett.

Liverpool: Mignolet, Johnson, Skrtel, Agger, Flanagan, Gerrard, Allen, Henderson, Sterling, Suarez, Sturridge. Subs: Brad Jones, Toure, Aspas, Coutinho, Sakho, Cissokho, Lucas.
