VIDEO: Woods reveals fitness doubts ahead of Masters

Tiger Woods gave a non-committal answer when asked about his chances of making the Masters today.

The 14-time major champion is struggling with a back injury and there are doubts about his participation at Augusta.

The tournament starts on April 10 and Woods was not ruling anything in or out when asked about his odds of playing.

Speaking at a news conference to announce a new sponsor, he said in quotes carried by cbssports.com: “For Augusta, it’s still a little too soon (to know), to be honest with you.

“That’s kind of the frustrating thing about this. I had a couple weeks off, was getting treatment and trying to get ready for Augusta. As of right now, it’s still too soon. As I said, that’s very frustrating.”

Woods suffered back spasms at The Barclays tournament last summer and the problem has persisted.

He has played just three events on the PGA Tour this year, and completed just two of those, having pulled out of the recent Honda Classic during his final round when injured.

He decided he was well enough to compete at the WGC-Cadillac Championship in Doral, Florida, days later, however he could not challenge on the final day after carding a 78.
