Rory McIlroy clinched the European Tour money list today - thanks to 19-year-old Italian Matteo Manassero.

World number one McIlroy, already with the PGA Tour title in the bag, stormed through to third place at the Barclays Singapore Open, sinking a 30-foot eagle putt on the last for a closing 65.

It meant South African Louis Oosthuizen had to win the tournament to keep the "Race to Dubai" alive, but he lost at the third play-off hole to Manassero, who holed from 12 feet for eagle for his third victory on the circuit.

They had tied on the 13-under-par mark of 271, three in front of McIlroy.
