Reigning US Open champion Martin Kaymer is among the latest names to confirm they will play in next month’s Irish Open.

Reigning US Open champion Martin Kaymer is among the latest names to confirm they will play in next month’s Dubai Duty Free Irish Open.

Luke Donald has also been added to the growing list of high-profile attendees for the tournament, being held this year at Royal County Down.

Luke Donald and Sergio Garcia will both play the Irish Open.

US Ryder Cup team member Patrick Reed will also play, as will Ernie Els and Sergio Garcia.

These international stars will join Rory McIlroy, Padraig Harrington, Graeme McDowell, Darren Clarke and Shane Lowry.

The Irish Open is being hosted by McIlroy’s charity, The Rory Foundation, and his support and promotion of the event in his native Down.

The tournament takes place from May 38-31, with a prize fund of €2.5m.
