Stricker has completed a remarkable comeback in the professional game to appear at the 2008 Ryder Cup in Valhalla.

Since finishing second to Vijay Singh at the 1998 US PGA Championship Stricker found a win hard to come by on the PGA Tour. Indeed, his win at The Barclays in 2007 was his first win since 1996.

Since then Stricker has become one of the most consistent players on the tour, recording five top-10 finished this year.
