Dunne improves on day two of US Amateur Championship
Ireland’s Paul Dunne improved by two strokes to sign for a one-under 69 on the second day of the US Amateur Championship in Illinois.
The 22-year-old from Greystones, who held a share of the lead after three rounds of last month’s Open Championship, was in a share of 16th place and seven strokes behind clubhouse leader Brett Coletta after mixing three birdies with two bogeys on Tuesday.
England’s Sam Horsfield is two over par at Olympia Field after following up his opening-day round of 72 with a 70 that featured three birdies and three bogeys.
