Gibson to get Champions League start
24/11/2009 - 15:21:53Alex Ferguson has confirmed Darron Gibson will start Manchester United’s Champions League Group B encounter with Besiktas at Old Trafford tomorrow.
Gibson will be among a number of changes to the team which beat Everton at the weekend, with Gabriel Obertan tipped to start his first European tie.
Young strikers Danny Welbeck and Federico Macheda will both be on the bench at least but Rio Ferdinand (back), Jonny Evans (calf) and John O’Shea (ankle) have all been ruled out.
