Wexford 2-18 Kilkenny 0-16
Wexford advanced to the Bord na Móna Walsh Cup Final against Dublin, following their win over Kilkenny at Blackwater this afternoon.
Liam Dunne's charges claimed their third victory in a row on home soil as a goal in either half provided the platform for a Model County victory.
Wind assisted Kilkenny led for the bulk of the opening half, but an injury-time penalty goal from Gary Moore ensured the sides were tied at 1-7 to 0-10 at the break.
The sides were tied on three occasions between the 40th and 46th minutes before Wexford got on top thanks to a Padge Doran goal.
Doran's three-pointer gave Wexford a lead they wouldn't relinquish as the hosts pulled further ahead.
Kilkenny bounced back to cut the gap to four points following a Rory Hickey score, but the Cats only scored one point in the closing 11 minutes of this game as Wexford took control.
PJ Nolan, Moore, Doran, Paul Morris and Garret Sinnott among the scorers for the hosts in the closing stages.
