WATCH: Moving tribute to ‘True Blue’ Dub ahead of All-Ireland final

Ahead of the All-Ireland final on Sunday Nicole Harris has paid tribute to her father, a life-long Dubs fan who died tragically earlier this year.

Alan Harris and his brother Steve died in June after they were overcome by fumes while inspecting underground pipes in the Portmarnock area of north Dublin.

Nicole posted the montage on YouTube and wrote: “Sadly I lost my Dad and his brother to a tragic accident in June but we will wear the blue and I'm sure he will be there on the day”.

She described her father as “Dublin's biggest fan there ever was”.

“Through rain hail or snow my Dad went to every Dublin game to O'Byrne Cups to the League it was his passion,” she wrote.

“He was the biggest Dublin fan I've ever met.”

The video is being shared widely by Dublin fans, as they prepare to face Kerry in the Championship decider.

Weeks after their deaths, fans of Dublin, Kildare, Meath and Westmeath rose from their seats during a match at Croke Park for a minute’s applause in remembrance of the Harris brothers and also the victims of the Berkeley disaster.
