Galway hurler Jason Flynn is looking forward to Sunday’s Leinster Final, and believes his team are capable of a big performance against Kilkenny.
The forward sat down with GAA.ie to discuss his side's chances and said they had plenty of confidence going into the game, despite having gone out in Round 1 of the qualifiers last year.
“From last year we were out early,” Flynn said. “But we played Kilkenny and Tipperary and I don’t think we were too far away from them.”
“That gave us great confidence coming into this year.”
“We wanted to lay down a marker at the start of the year and make 2015 something different,” he explained.
“We said if we work hard for each other as a team we can go a long way.”
Galway face Kilkenny in the Leinster Hurling final in Croke Park on Sunday July 5 - throw-in 4pm.
