Meet the Cavan man in Saudi Arabia leading the biggest explosion of GAA on the planet - new Middle East GAA Chairperson Patrick Moynagh.
“There are challenges in places like Saudi Arabia but we deal with them and to be able to come to tournaments like Dubai and Bahrain really shows the spirit of the parish in this part of the world,” Moynagh said.
He was speaking at the Dubai Celts GAA Festival, which had more than 900 participants in September.
In addition to being Chairperson, Moynagh also manages the Riyadh Ladies team.
He will be in Bahrain this weekend for the latest round of the Middle East League, with an estimated one thousand players taking part.
Filming has begun at the Bahrain #GAA Festival, starting with the kids & later hurling & camogie. Video will be on Middle East GAA Facebook. pic.twitter.com/uYdHdZq3xD
