Was Liam Neeson a hurler in his younger days?

He would find you and he would mark you. (Sorry)

Was Liam Neeson a hurler in his younger days?

St Patrick's College in Ballymena posted a very interesting 'turn back time' picture on Facebook yesterday.

The black and white image shows a group of teenage hurlers lined up for a team photo. It is captioned: “‪#‎TBT‬ Hurling Back the Years. Recognise anyone?”

If you cannot see the embedded Facebook post you can check it out here.

So far, so typical right?

Until you factor in that Ballymena is the hometown of actor Liam Neeson and the fourth hurler from the left in the back row is named L. Neeson.

Hmmm.

What do you reckon? Did the skinny youth go on to become one of Hollywood’s finest action stars?
