GAA fans rejoice; The Sunday Game was back with a bang last night.
Joe Brolly, Colm O’Rourke and Pat Spillane returned to analyse the opening game of the Ulster Senior Football Championship and they didn’t let the viewers down.

Brolly was typically colourful in his praise, including the use of a head-scratching farming analogy.
“There's a view that playing him off the square is like hiring the prize bull from the ministry and then using him to plough the field,” Brolly said.
“He has been the one indispensable in the rise of Donegal. The one indispensable player. He has no ego. He slogged his guts out all over the field today. And then when it came to it, he nailed two truly great frees to kill the game.”
So far so good, but his next comment triggered an instant response from his fellow panellists: “He is in my view the most influential player in Gaelic football”.
Colm O’Rourke was not letting that one pass.
“That’s a really stupid thing to say Joe,” he told Brolly, before suggesting there were a few Kerrymen who would take issue with that assessment.
Spillane also disagreed, although we don’t really know what he was driving at with his closing comments.
“The attention span of a human is eight seconds, a goldfish is nine. Now there you are!” Spillane said. Whatever the hell that means.
