The greatest sports knit ever

Kilkenny may have won the match, but Tipp won the fashion prize with this - possibly the most magnificent jumper of all time.

Forget “Up Tipp” or “Come on the boys” - the knitter of this fantastic item used blue and yellow wool to spell out the name of a full team on the back of the jumper and also position them as on the hurling field.

Adding goalposts around the name of goalkeeping legend Brendan Cummins was the pièce de résistance.

We can only thank Eoin De Barra on Twitter for taking a picture of the jumper on Saturday and posting it online to ensure the carefully created masterpiece gets the attention it deserves.
