Mayo star Lee Keegan has posted an open letter to Mayo supporters, days after losing out to Dublin in the All-Ireland final replay.
Keegan is one of three footballers shortlisted for the GPA Footballer of the Year award but the heartbreaking defeat is still uppermost in his mind.
In the message, shared on Twitter, the half back spoke of his “sadness and regret” over the loss but vows to “fight on”.
Keegan paid tribute to the Dublin team and said there would be months of soul-searching ahead for the Mayo squad.

He also thanked fans for their unwavering support and they have responded in their droves, commending Keegan on his passion and commitment. They also backed their team to come back stronger next season.
