Mayo make one change for Sunday’s All Ireland semi-final clash with Tipperary

Mayo play in their for their sixth straight All Ireland semi-final when they face Tipperary on Sunday in Croke Park.

Following a quarter final win over Ulster champions Tyrone just two weeks ago manager Stephen Rochford makes just one change to the team that started that win against Tyrone with Kevin Keane replacing Alan Dillon.

Mayo's last championship meeting with Tipperary was in 2002 in round four of the footballers qualifiers in Cusack Park, Ennis, a game which Mayo won 0-21 to 1-14.

Having lost to Galway in Connacht Mayo went through the qualifiers and Rochford outlines to Mid West radio where they need to improve for this match.

We’ve got to eradicate some of the simple mistakes that had been within our early performances; replicate the levels of intensity and support we got against Tyrone,” he said. “And remember that we are up against a team that is playing with a lot of confidence and a lot of freedom.

“We’ve got to be really focused and clued in, there’s a big prize on offer.”
