Kevin Keane cleared for Mayo’s All-Ireland semi after successful appeal

Mayo defender Kevin Keane has been cleared to play a part in Sunday-week’s All-Ireland semi-final with Dublin, after his red card was downgraded.
Keane was adjudged to have struck Michael Murphy in the dying moments of Mayo’s quarter-final against Donegal, only moments after coming on as a sub.
However Keane appealed against the punishment and the GAA's Central Hearings Committee tonight downgraded the offence to a yellow card.
The Appeal against the Red Card issued to Kevin Keane in the Quarter-Final has been successful and Kevin will now be eligible for Semi-Final

The Hearings Committee downgraded the sanction from a Red Card to a Yellow Card meaning Kevin Keane has been cleared to play the next day!
