Former Footballer of the Year Kieran Donaghy has been named on 20 man national senior men's basketball squad.

Former Footballer of the Year Kieran Donaghy has been named on 20 man national senior men's basketball squad.

Donaghy has been in tremendous form for Garvey's Tralee Warriors in the Super League as he sat out Kerry's Allianz Football League campaign.

Eight of the 12 Men’s Super League teams are represented, with four players from both Templeogue and UCC Demons making the cut alongside players from Garvey’s Tralee Warriors, UCD Marian, Griffith Swords Thunder, Pyrobel Killester, SSE Airtricity Moycullen and Belfast Star.

Four Irish players who are currently playing basketball overseas also feature on the list.
