The Galway County Board are to make a final decision on the future of senior hurling manager Anthony Cunningham next week.
The board had recruited an independent mediator in an attempt to resolve the issues between Cunningham and the players, but the mediator has been unable to resolve the issues.
This morning the Official Galway GAA Supporters Club released a statement from the county board.

They said: “The mediation process has concluded and the Independent Mediator has determined that despite best efforts there was little, if no, possibility of the parties reaching common agreement, on the substantive issue.
“At this stage all reasonable efforts have been made to resolve the impasse.”
As a result, “the County Committee will meet again on Monday evening next, 16th November, to make a decision on the matter.”
Cunningham has been in charge of the senior hurlers since 2012 and last month led the county to a second All-Ireland final in four seasons.
Despite this a significant part of the panel are understood to have expressed concern about Cunningham continuing in the role, with reports that players had tabled a motion of no confidence in his manangement.
