Heroic defending from Wexford in the O’Byrne Cup
The Wexford footballers displayed a fantastic 'None Shall Pass' attitude in their O’Byrne Cup clash with neighbours Wicklow yesterday.

Under serious pressure from a wave of Wicklow attacks, the Wexford players were forced to block three on-target goal strikes in eleven seconds.
Eventually Wicklow decided to go for a point rather than continue to batter the goal, but harrying from two Wexford defenders saw the player send the ball harmlessly wide.

The Model county were rewarded for their resolve with a 2-15 to 2-11 victory.
