Kevin O'Brien is named to start this Sunday's Allianz Football League Division 1 Final for Dublin against Tyrone, after having his three-match suspension for alleged biting overturned last night.
Dublin manager Jim Gavin named his side tonight, with 2012 All-Ireland Under 21 winning captain O'Brien handed the number two jersey.
James McCarthy replaces fellow Ballymun Kickhams clubman Philly McMahon in a rejigged defence, with Darren Daly moving from right-half back to corner-back and McCarthy taking his place on the half-back line.
Cian O'Sullivan continues to partner Michael Daragh Macauley at midfield.
Gavin has added Bryan Cullen to his attack from the one which beat Mayo in the semi-final, with Cullen replacing Jason Whelan in the half-forward line.
Dublin's only defeat in the Allianz League to date this year came at the hands of Tyrone, suffering a one-point loss to Mickey Harte's charges on March 16th at Croke Park.
Gavin was a part of the last Dublin side to claim league honours in 1993. He believes victory this weekend would be a great springboard for the younger players in the squad.
"We are very much (in bonus territory this weekend). That's the way we look at it. Each game we have tried to take it on its own merits and build towards getting to the play-off's and getting to a semi-final.
"Semi-finals are just there to be won and to get through the game against Mayo the last day, to get over that hurdle is a great rehearsal for the Championship.
"Not withstanding, I think the National League has been very good to us and we have had some really, really tight games in all divisions and lets hope that Sunday will be the same and I think it will.
"Six weeks ago against Tyrone they hit 18 points against us and they put in a big, big performance against us. We came good in the last quarter, but couldn't get through them and I think it will be the same format again on Sunday - two teams that will really go strong and hard to come away with some silverware so early in the season."
