Kerry manager Eamonn Fitzmaurice was happy with his sides victory, after his side came away with a seven-point win over Galway in this afternoon's All-Ireland SFC quarter-final at Croke Park.
It was a game which oozed plenty of positives for the Kingdom, who had nine different scorers, with 1-18 of their 1-20 tally coming from play.
"I suppose it's satisfying to win the game certainly and it's great to be into an All-Ireland semi-final this year," he said.
"It was far from the perfect performance, we have a good bit to work on in the next three weeks, but overall you would have to be happy that we won the game and that we are moving forward again."
"We mixed the good with the bad. We had a good brand of attacking football and there were other times where we weren't as accurate as we would have liked to have been.
"It's good shooting, but at the same time I think there are aspects of our performance that we will have to work on for three weeks time."
Galway lorded possession throughout, but were guilty of 10 wides inside the openinng 28 minutes.
Fitzmaurice says he would have concerns about how his defence played, and gifted Galway so many opportunities on goal.
"I think the first goal in particular was a disappointing one," he said.
"We saw last weekend what Galway are capable of doing, and we know what Galway are capable of doing. For Tom Flynn, he's athlete and has good pace; but for him to get the ball on the half-way line and to get through really without a hand being put on him is certainly something we will have to work on."
"But like I said we have plenty to work on. We are not the finished article yet and we'll have to get a good few pieces right for three weeks time."
