Cork GAA have comfirmed that forward Patrick Cronin sustained a fractured fibula in Sunday’s game, however they are hopeful of a quick recovery.

Cork announced this afternoon on their website that captain Pa Cronin fractured his fibula during the first half of Cork’s Munster final victory over Limerick.

They described the injury as “an uncomplicated fracture” and said team management were hopeful the Bishopstown clubman would be able to play in Cork’s next match, the All-Ireland semi-final on August 17.
