Cork hurling legend Brian Corcoran has taken another step towards a county return by starring for club side Erin's Own in his first competitive game in three years.

Corcoran hit 1-7 in a training game last month and scored a healthy 0-9 in a senior league match on Monday night prompting talk of a Cork return.

The former Hurler of the Year is poised to temper the loss of last year's young star Setanta Ó hAilpín, who quit the Rebel camp for Australian Rules football with Carlton.
