There is great news for Kilkenny fans this morning with confirmation that Brian Cody will stay on for a 17th season as Cats manager.
Cody and his management team were ratified to continue in charge of the team for another 12 months at last night's county board meeting.
The 60-year-old took charge of the Cats in 1999 and has led the county to an incredible 10 All-Ireland titles during his 16 years in charge.
The back room team of Michael Dempsey, James McGarry and Derek Lyng will also remain in position after steering the side to this year's All-Ireland title after a replay win over Tipperary.
