Gary ‘Spike’ O’Sullivan can go head-to-head with the best in the boxing ring but can he do it on a sleepy Saturday night in the Cork Junior ‘C’ Football Championship,
.Well, the former WBO International middleweight champion certainly can, as he proved during the meeting of Ballinure and Glenlara yesterday.
O’Sullivan lined out in the forwards and, as you can see below, tormented the Glenlara full-back, as Ballinure racked up four goals.

Despite the quartet of green flags, the City club managed to lose on a scoreline of 0-18 to 4-2.
Still, Spike’s moustache makes him one of the most stylish footballers to tog out at Junior C level, by our reckoning.
But the pro boxer, who holds a 22-2 record, doesn’t think he’ll be receiving a call from Peadar Healy anytime soon…
.@spike_osullivan looking well champ! Cork call up on the cards? https://t.co/hCBbwdbk10
