Cavanagh fit to captain Tyrone for Championship opener

Tyrone have named their starting XV to travel to Ballybofey on Sunday, where they open their 2015 Ulster Senior Football Championship campaign against beaten All-Ireland finallists Donegal.

The Red Hands were relegated to Division Two after a disappointing League campaign and a defeat here would put increasing pressure on long-serving manager Mickey Harte.

The good news is captain Sean Cavanagh starts. The Moy clubman underwent knee surgery last month, but has recovered in time to lead the side from full forward.

Two players will make their Championship debuts for the county, Padraig McNulty of Dungannon in midfield and Michael O’Neill Clonoe) in goals.

O’Neill is between the sticks in place of Niall Morgan, who has a niggling groin injury, but will be available as a substitute.
